Free for now.
Notegrade is free while we pilot it with teachers. We do not ask for payment details, and there is no trial that runs out.
What you get
Everything Notegrade does today is part of the pilot.
- Classes and rosters. Students sign in with their school Google accounts.
- In-class writing sessions with a join code, a timer, and extended time for the students who have it.
- Draft scores from your rubric and your calibration essays, with every deduction waiting for your decision.
- A record of how each essay was written.
- A gradebook for each class, with a CSV export for your school’s gradebook.
- Deleting a student or a whole class yourself, whenever you want.
Before anything changes
If Notegrade ever charges, we will tell every school and teacher using it before any price takes effect. You will not be charged without agreeing to it first, and since we do not collect payment details, nothing can be billed by surprise.
For schools and districts
If your school or district needs a data privacy agreement or a purchasing agreement before teachers use Notegrade, ask us. We are glad to work from your district’s own agreement.
Email matt@notegrade.com. The security page and the privacy page answer most questions district staff ask.
